Who we are:

Southern Plumbing Plus has a long and successful history in the plumbing, commercial, and residential construction industries. We're family owned and operated, with trade and retail stores in Canberra, Albury, Wodonga, Wagga, and Goulburn. We're looking for an enthusiastic, energetic person to join our busy Customer Service team in Canberra

About the role:

As a Customer Service Officer, your strengths will lie in professionalism, patience, and a “people-first” attitude by providing first class Customer Service with every interaction. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with our customers and suppliers to ensure orders are met accurately. And you’ll manage effective relationships with the internal sales, logistics, and retail teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

.Key Duties:

  • Work closely with the Commercial Sales team to ensure all orders are processed quickly and accurately
  • Process quotations for customer orders
  • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure all deliveries are made in full and on time
  • Ensure returned goods are processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain thorough Customer Service records in the system
  • Ensure customer handover packs are processed on time
  • Process and arrange service calls in the Customer Resource Management (CRM) system

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including excellent phone etiquette
  • Be a team player with the ability to develop relationships with customers and staff from other departments
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box when required
  • Efficiency in managing deadlines with a strong ability to multi-task
  • Provide first class Customer Service with every interaction
  • Provide high quality administrative support

The successful applicant must have after-sales administration experience, be tech savvy, be flexible and quick to learn, be level-headed with the ability to think in complex situations, be able to listen and understand customers' needs, and be someone who is efficient in processing repetitive tasks and self-managed in following up on inquiries.

Strong skills are required in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet applications, and email.  You must also be prepared to learn new systems
