The Town of Cottesloe is seeking to appoint a customer focused and enthusiastic professional to join our Customer Service team
Our Customer Service team provide excellent quality Customer Service to internal and external stakeholders, being the first point of contact for Town queries.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of Customer Service to both internal and external customers in-person, via phone and email using the Town’s Customer Request Management software.
- Provide a reception service for Council clients including taking enquiries, receipts and venue bookings.
- Ensure all Customer Service requests are carried out efficiently and effectively and deadlines are met.
- Open and balance the cash register at the start and end of each working day.
- Maintenance and reconciliation of petty cash.
- Process receipts for incoming monies over the counter, by mail, phone and online.
- Respond to incoming queries whether in person, by mail, by phone, or electronically in a professional, polite and efficient manner.
- Assist with opening and recording daily mail. Assist with Records Management including opening mail, and keeping filing and
- Assist employees with ordering stationery, and maintain stock levels
- Assist with other administrative duties as requested by the Team Leader Customer Service.
Appointment Criteria:
Essential:
- Experience in a similar Customer Service role including cash handling.
- Well developed communication and customer-service skills.
- Good public relations, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Data-entry experience.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
Desirable:
- Certificate III Business Administration or similar.
- Sound knowledge of the role, services and structure of local government.
- Experience in using an integrated computer package and computerized records management.
- Working knowledge of Local Government laws.
Hours and Location
This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis (76hrs per fortnight). The role will be based at the Town Administration office, located at the Cottesloe Civic Centre.
