The Company
Our client is an independent, family-owned company based in Broadmeadows, with offices and distribution centres nationwide. They are currently looking for an experienced Customer Service/Sales Support professional to join their team.
About the Position
- Manage inbound and outbound call traffic to all customers and provide a level of service that is "best practice".
- Provide customers with responses to queries in a timely fashion and proactively seek out opportunities to contact customers and add value to their business which will support the company sales force.
- Provide support to their team as well as the Sales Support Leader.
- Provide service to customers by responding to inquiries accurately and in a timely fashion as well as driving sales through Cycle Objectives, Deletions and Clearance opportunities and proactive Telecalls.
- Provides administrative services to support the company sales force.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving incoming customer phone calls and managing email correspondence.
- Order taking - including keying in orders.
- Preparing customer quotes.
- Liaising with Business Development Managers.
- Contact customers in relation to order status and supply situation.
- Arrange for proof of deliveries in conjunction with warehouse / distribution and contracting staff.
- Proactively call customers and inform them of backorder and substitution information daily.
- General office duties.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Customer Service/ sales experience handling regular inbound calls.
- Experience processing customer orders and overseeing the distribution of products to customers.
- Ability to undertake a diverse range of duties in a busy office environment.
- Confident MS Office skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment.
