The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.
About the Role
These positions are primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional Customer Service to all our customers, and you will also build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing Customer Services for all visitors, staff, etc
- Assisting emergency responders in the event of a building evacuation and medical incident
- Routine patrols and monitoring assigned areas including carparks and other areas
- Prepare incident reports, and complete daily shift logs
- Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergency situation
Skills & Experience
- QLD Security Licence - Unarmed and crowd control
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current open drivers' licence
- 1st and 2nd Covid-19 vaccination
- Customer centric approach
- Proven ability to remain alert while being focused on tasks
- Flexibility and adaptability
