About the role:
As Customer Service Specialist, you will work within a close-knit team to engage with the public, responding to and resolving customer enquiries received via telephone, web, and email. You will use your previous operational or customer-facing experience to support ongoing relationships with our customers and partners, providing tailored information and guiding, educating, and assisting customers to find information on the agency's website.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional Customer service; respond to and resolve customer enquiries received via telephone, web, and email in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
- Guide, educate and assist customers to find information on the website, promoting products or services that meet customer needs.
- Engage with customers to historical information and data, including assisting customers to interpret and understand outputs and services.
- Provide subject matter expertise into customer handling processes and procedures for dealing with the Australian Public, and in particular, managing difficult and complex enquiries from members of the vulnerable community.
- Use the agency's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to manage customer enquiries, including managing enquiry resolution, forwarding enquiries and/or escalating issues to relevant business areas where appropriate.
- Front-line or customer-facing operational experience answering enquiries received from a variety of channels, including telephone, web, and email.
- Experience or knowledge of customer relationship management systems and procedures.
- An interest in science or other technical discipline and a good understanding of the agency and its products, services, and customers.
