Regenerative Neuroscience and Development Group! We're seeking a passionate and skilled
Research Fellow to drive ground-breaking research in multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment and prevention.As a
Research Fellow, you'll spearhead preclinical drug development initiatives, focusing on preventing neurodegeneration during the active inflammatory phase of MS. With funding from the Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation and NeuOrphan Pty Ltd, you'll have the resources to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting preclinical research, including experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) studies
- Providing high-quality research services to support our MS program outcomes
- Mentoring post-doctoral researchers, PhD students, and undergraduates
- Managing a budget of up to $75,000 and co-supervising 5 PhD students
Key Selection Criteria:- Doctoral qualification in a relevant field
- Strong analytical and manuscript preparation skills
- Proficiency in small animal handling, surgical procedures, and molecular biology techniques
- Experience in confocal microscopy, viral delivery systems, and immunohistochemistry
- Familiarity with Animal Ethics submissions and compliance
