Job description

About the role:

As a result of this exciting and unique expansion, we are now offering a newly created opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified Cyber Assurance Specialist to join our Cyber Security Team. In this role, you will report to the Cyber Engineering & Assurance Lead, and act as a member of an operational team as you take a senior technical view on vulnerability management, system hardening design and controls, security assessments and assurance activities. Specifically, your focus will be on our cloud SaaS environments as well as our corporate on prem and hybrid cloud environments.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a Vulnerability management and Remediation SME to provide direction, prioritisation and guidance to all IT platform teams on their vulnerability remediation tasks
  • Designing, implementing and managing the People First Bank Vulnerability Management Framework and associated processes
  • Establishing security baselines for hardening, publishing associated guidelines and assessing systems and services against those hardening guides
  • Driving and managing the delivery and deployment of activities defined within the security strategy, framework and roadmap
  • Performing security assessments for any consideration of new software or change control records seeking to amend the security posture of the bank
  • Executing compliance procedures by performing compliance checks, control and risk reviews against services as per the plan and schedule
  • Co-ordinating all cyber audit activities and deliverables in collecting audit requests, updating audit findings and satisfying audit requirements
  • Operation management including dashboard management for our Qualys VMDR and Policy Compliance tooling.

About You:

Your ability to explain our current unified posture across People First Bank’s computing estates will be critical to your success in this role.

Similarly, we also seek:

  • Solid professional experience that demonstrated your ability to deliver:
    • A reduction in average vulnerabilities per configuration over time
    • A downward trend in critical outstanding vulnerabilities
  • Ability to influence service providers and internal stakeholder groups to focus on the vulnerability remediation and appropriate prioritisation
  • Ability to demonstrate enterprise-wide coverage of system hardening assessment to baselines and our level of improving compliance over time
  • Ability to be very detail oriented; mine through data for areas of focus; and determine when data presented is inaccurate.

So go ahead and make the important choice to be part of an organisation working together for a better future. Our capability is a focused, vibrant and effective team focused on delivering business outcomes, whilst celebrating and sharing in our collective successes.
