Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team in the role of Cyber Security Analyst. In this critical position, you will play a key role in the analysis, design, and implementation of cybersecurity solutions to ensure the organization’s digital landscape remains secure, resilient, and adaptive in the face of evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
Information Gathering & Analysis:
- Lead the gathering and analysis of technical and business requirements to support the adoption of cybersecurity initiatives.
- Ensure all requirements are well-defined, comprehensive, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Analyze business objectives and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
Solution Design & Evaluation:
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and teams to design technical solutions.
- Evaluate existing and proposed cybersecurity solutions for effectiveness, scalability, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Participate in the selection of appropriate cyber technologies and tools.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks associated with each initiative.
- Ensure all adopted solutions are risk-assessed and mitigated prior to release.
- Work with teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements and technical specifications.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for stakeholders.
Change Management & User Adoption:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of change management plans for the adoption of cybersecurity solutions.
- Provide training, communication, and resources to ensure adherence to new cybersecurity policies.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
- Develop and validate strategies to ensure cybersecurity solutions meet specified requirements and security standards.
- Conduct thorough testing, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Develop productive relationships with colleagues across the organization.
- Resolve complex issues and conflicts through effective communication and negotiation.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with teams, stakeholders, and third parties.
Key Selection Criteria
- Postgraduate qualification or progress towards a postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to drive cybersecurity initiatives forward.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Ability to create and manage detailed project plans, including resource allocation, task sequencing, and risk management.
- A valid working with children’s check card (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement).
