About the Role:
SoftLabs is seeking Project Manager - Cyber Security Strategy and Policy for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in ACT.
Requirements:
DEWR is leading the Enhanced Vocational Education and Training (VET) Data and Evidence initiative under the National Skills Agreement (NSA). The NSA is a 5-year agreement between the Australian, State and Territory Governments, working in partnership to ensure that the VET system provides high-quality, responsive, and accessible education and training to boost productivity, deliver national priorities and support Australians to obtain the skills and capabilities they need to obtain well-paid, secure jobs.
- The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations will implement a number of initiatives to improve the Cyber Security posture of the sector. This includes:
- the Development of a Cyber Security policy and strategy for uplifting the security of the VET data and sets the priorities for the cyber project.
- Co-ordinate independent assessments and uplift of security documentation for Commonwealth and Nationally managed VET systems and data.
- Delivery of guidelines, training, and support for the sector to self-assess and self-manage improvements to the Cyber Security posture of individual organisation data holdings.
Skills and Capability:
- 3+ years’ experience successfully delivering complex Cyber Security Projects/programs.
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale government ICT and/or complex data system programs.
- Excellent problem solving, and analytical thinking capability, including the ability to quickly adjust to changes in program priorities and direction.
- Proven ability to achieve quality outcomes in a high tempo environment.
- A demonstrated high standard of written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
- PRINCE2, Agile or other Project Management Certification (desirable but not mandatory).
- Cyber security related qualifications or certifications (desirable but not mandatory).
Essential Criteria
- How your skills and experience are suitable to the duties of the Project Manager – Cyber Security and policy strategy.
- Proven experience successfully managing a cross-functional team and matrix managed team.
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale government Cyber/ ICT projects. Demonstrated Cyber Security expertise applied to address emerging threats.
- Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with government cybersecurity standards and regulations.
- Proven communication and stakeholder engagement skills (written and oral) and demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent problem solving, and analytical thinking capability and proven experience analysing and articulating key project information.
