The role is responsible for a range of activities including supporting project planning, supporting processes to monitor and evaluate the project, coordinating project deliverables and communication activities, facilitating stakeholder engagements, and coordinating the project budget.Key responsibilities will include:Project Coordination: Coordinating aspects of the project-delivery cycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation to support the successful completion of projects.Project Administration: Monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, as well as coordinating and supporting the development of project-related documentation and other materials including (but not limited to): tender evaluation documentation; project plans; scoping documents; evaluation documents; project reporting templates; project updates and other communication materials; post-project reporting.Stakeholder Engagement: Identification, engagement, and management of key stakeholders. Undertake appropriate engagement activities across the University developing collateral and support for projects.Financial Management: Coordinating aspects of the project budgetThis is a full-time, fixed-term position through to April 2026.At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099- $94,512, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $103,076 - $110,579 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.About YouWe are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and multi-talented Senior Project Officer to support the delivery of projects within the Cyber Security improvements programme. As the Senior Project Officer you will support a wide range of activities to achieve project outcomes, including project planning, delivery, stakeholder engagement, reporting and budgeting. You will be working as part of a medium sized high-performing team in an environment with opportunities for professional development and growth. The role requires a person capable of delivering outcomes within a multi-dimensional, fast-paced, and challenging operational environment. In addition, you will possess:A Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or equivalent experience and/or equivalent education/training.Demonstrated experience in providing project coordination and/or administrative support, with a developing understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.Excellent time management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities within tight timeframes.Advanced written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.Experience using MS Project would be advantageous, or a proven ability to quickly adapt to new project management software.Subject matter expertise in the area of Cyber security is desirable.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
