Information Technology Services – Cyber Security
This is a full-time fixed-term position for up to 2 years with salary in the range $88,099 - $94,512, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.
Bring your strong sense of personal ethics, experience in cyber criminology and investigations, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to work as an integral part of our busy, high-achieving and motivated Cyber Security team.

The Senior Project Officer is responsible for supporting the objectives of the University’s Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) through undertaking activities to progress towards key program deliverables within digital forensics and cyber criminology projects. While focusing on communications and project support, the role will also include ad hoc operational tasks that span across the CSOC’s remit, such as providing cyber criminology and cybersecurity expertise where required.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the maintenance of project artifacts and documentation registers.
Assist in the development and implementation of long-term cybersecurity projects, including testing tools and methodologies.
Coordinate the deployment of digital forensics capabilities and provide expertise for operational needs.
Manage CSOC Confluence documentation and assist with communication efforts as necessary.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and multi-talented Senior Project Officer to support the Digital Forensics & Incident Response project. As the Senior Project Officer, you will coordinate and support a wide range of activities to achieve project outcomes, including project administration and tasks specific to cyber criminology. You will be working as part of a medium sized high-performing team in an environment with opportunities for professional development and growth. The role requires a person capable of delivering outcomes within a multi-dimensional, fast-paced and challenging operational environment.
Selection Criteria
Possession of post-graduate qualifications in Cyber Security, criminology, or related fields, or equivalent experience and education/training.
Strong communication skills, demonstrated through the ability to develop clear and concise documentation and processes.
Experience in supporting organizational processes with a focus on confidentiality and privacy.
Previous involvement in supporting operational Cyber Security teams in enhancing cyber criminology capabilities within an enterprise environment, along with experience in the higher education sector, particularly in cybersecurity within a University environment.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
