Summary:
The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company networks, systems, and applications from cyber threats. They will develop and implement security policies, assess IT risks, manage security incidents, conduct security audits and risk assessments, and oversee the installation of security software and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain and enforce security policies and procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and security audits
- Develop security measures to address identified risks
- Implement security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDSs/IPSs
- Monitor security systems and networks for signs of intrusion and other security breaches
- Investigate security breaches and recommend corrective actions
- Identify, report and respond to security incidents
- Conduct awareness and training programs for employees
- Analyze and respond to threats and risk scenarios
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and emerging threats
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Information Technology or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a Cyber Security Specialist role or similar
- Experience with leading security software and hardware
- Good knowledge of network and information security systems
- Knowledge of security risks and solutions for various operating systems
- Experience in data encryption technologies
- Experience in Incident response management
- Good communication skills to convey complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Attention to detail and a strong ability to analyze security risks and develop appropriate solutions.
