Responsible for overseeing all aspects of group financial performance of this Private Investment Office ensuring delivery of financial efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance across the organisation.

Costa Asset Management currently has a full-time opportunity for a CPA or CA qualified Chief Financial Officer with proven management and team leadership experience working within diverse and complex business entity structures. This role reports to the CEO and leads and manages a team of 10 accounting professionals to deliver all routine and specialised financial reporting requirements imperative to support decision making and management of all investment projects for this elite family office. What you will do:

The CFO plays a pivotal role within the executive management team providing critical support to the CEO, board, Costa family, finance team and joint-venture partners. Based on site in our Geelong office, you will provide leadership and promote a culture of accountability and respect to ensure the financial efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of the Costa Asset Management group is delivered. The CFO will provide and co-ordinate financial processes and controls in relation to the Group and provide financial reporting to the CEO and Board.

This role will oversee the improvement and distribution of timely financial reports and interpret financial information for management. It is dynamic, requiring a highly skilled leader of talent, with superior communication skills capable of influencing all stakeholders.

This role is responsible for:

• Overseeing the day-to-day management and success of the Finance Team led by a Financial Controller to deliver timely and accurate financial statements and key monthly reports including the monthly Board report.
• Leading, inspiring, and supporting a best-in-class team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Critically develop, execute, and implement CAM’s strategy in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team.
• Participate and engage in CAM Board meetings as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
• Financial Control and Management of all entities within the group.  This includes Unit trusts, discretionary family trusts, self-managed super funds, and companies.
• Liaison with joint venture entities, external accountants and consultants, banks, insurers. 
• Oversee IT and insurance requirements.

To be successful in this leadership role you will:

• Have significant experience with family office, investment management, professional services, or similar industry, at a CFO level with demonstrated experience managing people, operations, and projects.
• Management experience working within numerous diverse and complex entity structures.
• Demonstrate an ability to partner with management and stakeholders to deliver effective and timely financial management for improved business decisions and operations. 
• Be a CPA or CA qualified finance executive with a solid demonstrated track record of success.
