The role
We are looking for a wonderfully organised person who will join Tes-Amm Australia & New Zealand as the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success and strategic direction of our organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical functions, all aimed at ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and growth of our financial operations. This is a fulltime role which will be hybrid setting – 3 days working from our Villawood office.

As the Finance Manager at Tes-Amm your responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum of critical functions:
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of checks and balances procedures for financial document review and approval.
- Oversee the monthly close process and preparation of financial packages, ensuring strict adherence to policies and procedures.
- Drive compliance with internal and external financial reporting timetables, while implementing balance sheet review processes.
- Providing guidance on cash, inventory, and settlement policies to ensure accurate recording and reporting of transactions.
- Managing day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, payroll, and more, with a focus on maintaining stringent controls.
- Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop settlement and control procedures.
- Collaborate with external auditors for year-end closing and audit completion, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Work closely with the Group Controller and CFO to finalise audited annual corporate financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax reporting and payment schedules, while identifying opportunities to optimize tax liabilities.
- Lead budget formulation and finalization activities, including the preparation and review of budget balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and capital expenditure plans.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations on key business decisions.
- Define job descriptions, provide induction and training to new hires, and evaluate performance.
- Mentor and train team members on technical and behavioural aspects of their roles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Partner with HR on succession planning and talent retention initiatives.
Qualifications/Experience
- Tertiary Financial qualifications (Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting)
- CPA (preferred) and/or CA
- 8+ years’ experience in areas of control
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
- IFRS (detailed knowledge)
- Be familiar with various auditing techniques and standards (detailed knowledge)
- Local tax and legal regulations (working knowledge)
- Advanced computer skills.
