Reporting to the Group Manager, Gas and Renewables Asset Operations, the role is as an influential site-based leader that sits within the Gas & Renewables Leadership Team (G&R LT). The incumbent provides Organisational, Cultural and Strategic Leadership as well as significant and demonstrable Operational knowledge, experience and expertise.Key responsibilities:

• Strategic management and leadership role within the G&R Leadership Team
• Management and leadership of station operation and maintenance activities
• Operation within all license and permits and comply with Origin policies, procedures and standards
• Asset management strategies covering all major/critical plant components in the power plant
• Managing site EBIT performance, budget and capital investment to meet target
• Developing strategic alliances and relationships across Origin and leading industry groups and with regional government, regulatory and community relationships.
• Recommend strategic direction for the operation and maintenance of the Station

What will you bring?

• Extensive experience leading high performing teams, including 24/7 operations
• Qualifications in engineering discipline and/or trade qualification
• Previous management in power generation or similar manufacturing/ process industries;
• Implementation of Asset Management Plans;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and orally, with a wide range of personnel at all levels of the organisation internally and externally to the organisation, and the ability to interpret and explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner;
• Consistent demonstration of Health, Safety and Environment behavioural standards for teams and transient labour i.e. contractors and other short term resources to achieve optimum HSE performance and culture.
