AddressWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Analyst to join a close knit team on an immediate, short-term contract basis for a leader in the insurance industry.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Excel, along with a strong analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely (anywhere within Australia).
Responsibilities:
- Utilise SAS, SQL, and Excel to extract, manipulate, analyse, and interpret large data sets.
- Develop and execute queries to gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Generate insightful reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate findings and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices for data management and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst with advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
