Description
The Consultant is responsible for working directly with Novigi’s clients to analyse, manage and present data. They are experienced and highly skilled technologists that can guide Novigi’s clients on their journey to be data led organisations and couple this with an ability to lead and deliver medium to large engagements, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Working with users, Project Managers, and other staff on projects to define data requirements and specify an optimum design for subsequent development.
- Lead the delivery of data projects on time, to the agreed budget and of a high-quality standard.
- Understand client requirements and develop scripts using analytical programming languages that meet these requirements.
- Developing and utilising data models.
- Producing detailed data analysis and business intelligence reports for executive-level staff.
- Understanding key data security standards.
- Working as key part of delivery team responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new systems.
- Assigning and reviewing work of peers.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Science, Engineering or Economics coupled with relevant professional qualifications.
- Experience in Superannuation/Financial Services – highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience working in technical project delivery or software development teams.
- Understanding of one or more of the major programming languages along with advanced SQL skills.
- Sound communication skills to ensure effective communication with end users and peers.
- Advanced ability to analyse and interpret business requirements and thus develop technical solutions.
- Advanced specification documentation skills, including documentation of system solutions.
- An appreciation of Data, IT and Business Strategy.
- Advanced client focus ensuring client satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
