An exciting, permanent opportunity has become available for a Data Analytics Assurance Specialist.
The Data Analytics and Assurance Specialist facilitates the provision of independent and objective assurance to senior management, the Board, and the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of Bupa’s risk management, control and governance processes.
As part of a 10-member team, this role will assist with embedding and driving a data driven culture, meeting the data access and analytical needs of the Bupa Group Internal Audit (GIA) Function and its stakeholders; and supporting the fulfilment of requirements specific to the planning, organising, staffing, directing, and controlling of the Data Analytics and assurance operation.
The Data Analytics and Assurance Specialist will support the delivery of assurance work carried out by our auditors, by providing in-depth and insightful analysis of available risk and business data, as well as helping develop the function’s use of analytical tools across the entire range. This position will play a key role in supporting the evolution of how GIA uses available data for its risk assessment and assurance planning and evolving this to become part of a real-time data led ecosystem. This will include the delivery of greater access to data sources.
How will I help?
Empower the Internal Audit team through the development of a Data Analytics and reporting ecosystem.
Own the creation and maintenance of high-quality operational reporting from existing management andoperational reporting sources from core audit platforms; as well as ad-hoc and continuous monitoringreports.
Collaborate with the Analytics Assurance Manager to prioritise the backlog and deliver insightful analytics.
Support the management of data governance by documenting processes, defining data dictionaries, andmaintaining code repositories.
Work with teams across the organisation (both locally and internationally) to access data required for auditon an ongoing and timely basis.
What do I need?
Experience applying quantitative and qualitative data analysis and turning this into impactful results within visualisation tools e.g., Power BI.
Demonstrable experience using SQL, Python, DAX, and Power Query M is essential.
Experience working as part of an integrated team involving a range of stakeholders.
Understanding of data architecture and data analysis concepts
Experience working in an agile scrum environment.
Exposure to analytics in an audit or regulatory environment is advantageous but not essential.
