We are working exclusively with the CFO of a leading renewables organsiation on the crucial hire of a Data and Analytics Manager to join their Perth-based office in a permanent capacity.
You will serve as the conduit between their executive leadership and data and analytics stream and strategically lead a growing team, drive forward-thinking strategies, leverage AI trends and propel the organisation's growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 11 data and analytics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Providing technical and strategic leadership in designing, delivering, and supporting business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, data services and implementing improvements to optimise the use of data across the business.
- Collaborate closely with the ICT division and executive leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data strategies.
- Stay abreast of AI trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement data analytics initiatives to drive business performance and optimise operational processes.
- Utilise tools such as Qlik, Python, and SQL to extract, analyse, and visualise data, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CFO, providing data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the data and analytics field
- Strong understanding of AI trends and technologies, with the ability to apply them to business challenges.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business outcomes through data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Relevant tertiary education in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Qlik (desired), as well as programming languages like Python and SQL.
- Relevant industry experience (desirable)
