About the role
We currently have a fixed-term, full-time opportunity available for a Records Management Officer to join our Records Team. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective metadata quality assurance across our record keeping system and assist to provide records and information management best practice, training and support for the Records and Compliance Team to meet the Corporation’s business needs.

About you
There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV;
- Considerable experience and understanding of indexing, application of Keyword and Activity file classification principles and practices in line with the State Records Office Disposal Authorities, Standards and Guidelines.
- Quality assurance on document and folder metadata within an ECMS.
- Demonstrated engagement addressing customer enquiries as well as training stakeholders in Records Management.
- Demonstrated good computing skills, is able to use the Microsoft suite of systems and can demonstrate the capability to learn and apply the Corporations suite of business and technical computing applications.
- Considerable knowledge of information/records/document management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with the extraction and analysis of data from the electronic records system.
- Previous experience within a large utility organisation or state government owned entity would be highly desirable.
About the role
- Strong business engagement skills to liaise with the business to ensure content is captured in accordance to guidelines and policy with correct naming conventions and retention periods assigned and.
- Assists with the development and delivery of Records and Information Management training programs to the business, as required.
- Assists with the development and delivery of Records and Information Management training programs to the business, as required.
- Provides back-up to the Senior Officer - Records Management, ensuring our customer service needs are met.
- Provides quality assurance checks and fixes to document/folder metadata in the Electronic Content Management System ECMS.
- Assist with setting up ‘like’ networks of superusers in the records and information management space.
