Vacancy Reference No. 887530

Searching for WA Health Future Leaders

Join the largest health system in the world with a state spanning 2.5 million square kilometres and make a difference.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 18 months, with the possibility of permanency at the conclusion of the program.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments can be made from this pool until 30/06/2026.

About the Role

The Graduate Development Program is a structured program that runs for 18 months with three rotations. Throughout the course of your rotations, you will develop a broad overview and knowledge of the diverse areas of the WA health system, with opportunities to work both within the System Manager and Health Service Providers. You will be exposed to high profile projects, build a range of professional networks with key stakeholders, and engage in further learning and development.

As a Health Graduate (non-clinical), you will have the opportunity to make a difference by contributing to the strategic vision and operational future of the WA health system. You will have three rotations in different business areas across the WA health system and be supported by a structured learning and development framework. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. In this role, you will proactively identify issues and provide innovative solutions to deliver on the WA health system’s vision of a safe, high quality and sustainable health care system for all Western Australians.

The role is suitable to graduates from any data analysis-related discipline, but particularly those from a physics, engineering mathematics, statistics, economics, information technology, computer science or health related (including health science, psychology, epidemiology, medical science, or population health) discipline. Graduates who have undertaken studies in other equivalent disciplines or combined degrees are also encouraged to apply.

Appropriate training and support will be offered to successful applicants. You will also perform routine tasks which contribute to the delivery of service improvement initiatives across the WA Health system and Primary Health Networks via our partnership with WA Primary Health Alliance.
