We are an organisation that is big and diverse enough that you get lots of opportunity to be part of different projects and experiences and small enough that you feel part of a community and can get to know a lot of the people individually.About the JobThis is a new position and will be key in supporting development of the strategic direction and subsequent execution of the business intelligence and data analytics function across the Council. The position will interact with a broad range of the Leadership team across all functions/departments, and business partnering is a key requirement of the role.We want a self-motivated, passionate, and professional person who enjoys interacting with people and loves Data and insights and making things better. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work in a flexible environment that can have a level of ambiguity at times, while possessing excellent communication and organisational skills. You will need to have strong Data and analytical knowledge and the ability to interpret the Data and department functions, and translate them into insights.About the TeamAs a member of the Chief Executive Office, you will report to the Manager Innovation and Performance. It’s a small but mighty team that is very much a part of the bigger picture. Consisting of the Program Management Office and Data and analysis functions of the Council, the team is responsible for working with Leadership to develop organisational strategy, assuring delivery of the Council’s annual $40-50M program of projects and to help the organisation to find ways to become even better. You will inform the organisation of performance against organisational objectives as well as identify and implement business improvement opportunities. There is nothing better than seeing something you have worked on have a clear impact on the community, whether its new facilities, greener spaces, knowing customers need to call less or new technology that allows us to do more.
