Job description:

  • Temporary Full-Time ( End Date 30/06/2025 )
  • Parramatta (with hybrid work arrangement)
  • Remuneration of $106,025 - $117,363 (Clerk Grade 7/8 ) plus superannuation & annual leave loading

About the role

  • Interpret data to identify patterns and trends
  • Prepare project documentation for reporting and evaluation
  • Communicate with stakeholders and coordinate project activities
  • Provide timely responses to Data and Research requests
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making

The Data and Research Officer role supports the intelligence function within the Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority. This role is part of the Operations Group, focusing on the Joint Monitoring and Data Sharing Project. The team collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure effective compliance monitoring, data sharing, and regulatory activities. The Data and Research Officer will analyse data, prepare reports, and communicate findings to support strategic decision-making and enhance regulatory practices aimed at improving early childhood education outcomes in NSW

About you -

  • Experienced in conducting research and providing actionable insights
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation
  • Skilled in preparing, managing and presenting project documentation
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Adept at using technology to enhance data management and analysis.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience
  • A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
