About Us
Comtec Data Solutions Pty Ltd are established and trusted since 2013. A licensed security company servicing clients in the Pilbara region. We provide total security services, comprising the latest CCTV, Alarm Intrusion and Access Controls solutions as well as all types of structured cabling and fibre optic solutions.
What will you be doing? About the role.
This Apprenticeship goes for a duration of four years, completing a Certificate III in Data and Voice Communications (UEE30420). Coursework will be completed in Perth in 7 blocks of 5 days over the duration of the apprenticeship. Flights and accommodation will be provided by Comtec Data. Completion of this apprenticeship will equip you with the qualifications of a Data and Security Technician.
Over the duration of the apprenticeship, you will assist Technicians installing Data and Security systems including CCTV, access control and alarm systems as well as structured cabling, coaxial and fibre optic cabling in commercial, industrial, and mining environments. You will work on a range of sites throughout the Pilbara and will occasionally be required to work away from home.

To be a part of our friendly and supportive team we are seeking people with the following qualifications & attributes;
- Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
- Hold a current manual driver’s licence and reliable transport to and from the workshop.
- A team player with a great work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Have a strong understanding of workplace safety.
- Some experience with hand and power tools.
- The ability to obtain a national police clearance, ASIC and MSIC.
