We are looking for an experienced and skilled data specialist to work collaboratively amongst our Digital and Technology services team, to create and deliver comprehensive data and analytics services for optimal data usage across the Glen Eira City Council.As this is a newly developed position, we are looking for the perfect candidate to provide their expertise to take ownership and make this position their own.Other responsibilities include:
- Creating business intelligence solutions through the implementation of best practices in data pipelines and data engineering.
- Completing tasks and initiatives required to accelerate our data maturity in alignment with our data strategy and roadmap.
- Maintaining and understanding of the long-term goals of the wider organisation
- Adhering to standards, policies and best practice to ensure the effectiveness, security and integrity of the digital, IT and spatial environment.
Do you consider yourself an expert in data management and innovator when it comes to creating streamline and efficient data solutions?Do you pride yourself on being able to build strong interpersonal relationships and can effectively communicate technical jargon across numerous organisational units?Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in conventional business intelligence and demonstrated experience in modern data analytics, business modelling and reporting.The following is also required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant field, or less formal qualifications with extensive and diverse relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in data analysis and analysis frameworks, with experience in creating data analytics solutions in cloud-based, on-premises and hybrid domains
- Experience in PowerBI, Boomi, SQL, Azure Data Factory, data warehousing and modelling.
- Demonstrated experience supporting businesses within a technical data role, with a depth and breadth of skills across the entire Data Analytics landscape. Data science experience and qualifications are a bonus.
