Data Architect - Contract Opportunity

Position Overview:
They are seeking a skilled Data Architect to join us on an exciting 12-month contract. As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions that leverage Microsoft Lakehouse Architecture, domain-based modelling, and cloud technologies (AWS and Azure). Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Design and implement data models using domain-based modelling principles to ensure alignment with business objectives and data governance standards.
• Architect and implement data solutions leveraging Microsoft Lakehouse Architecture within the Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and analysis, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Integrate data from diverse sources and systems, leveraging APIs and other integration tools.
• Implement best practices for data security, access control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on Microsoft Lakehouse Architecture and domain-based modelling.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, with hands-on experience in cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and analysis.
• Proficiency in integrating data from diverse sources using APIs and other integration technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.

Location: Newcastle (Hybrid working model with 2 days WFH)
12-month contract with a high chance of getting an extension for another 12 months.
