Our client is seeking a Broadcom Symantec Data Centre Security Engineer to join their forward-thinking team. Your expertise will drive detail-oriented design, improve existing implementations, and ensure the team follows end-to-end best practices. If you’re up for the challenge, we want you on our team!- Optimised Solution Design: Leverage your skills to provide detailed designs that enhance our Data Centre Security.
- Guidance and Best Practices: Mentor the team on end-to-end best practices.
- BAU Operations and Maintenance: Keep our Broadcom DCS running smoothly.
- Patch Management and Upgrades: Plan, schedule, and implement patches, bug fixes, and major system upgrades.
- Document technical insights in our knowledge database (Standard Operating Procedures) and update detailed designs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Broadcom DCS Experience: You must have a minimum of 3+ years managing Broadcom DCS daily operations. This includes identifying, isolating, and resolving technical support issues, conducting daily health checks, and configuring/reporting knowledge transfer.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Broadcom DCS, including configuration and optimisation
- Essential Eight Application Control: Familiarity with the Essential Eight mitigation strategy and applicable Information Security Manual (ISM) controls within Broadcom DCS.
- Patch and Upgrade Expertise: Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing patches, bug fixes, and major system upgrades for Broadcom DCS.
- Version Transition: Experience upgrading from Broadcom DCS version 6.7.x to 6.9.x.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Broadcom certifications, CISSP) are advantageous.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.
