Professional Services Network Security Engineer (Nv2)

e2Cyber is currently seeking dynamic professionals with an NV2 clearance to join our tier 1 vendor clients team in Canberra. The ideal candidates are not only technically proficient but also possess a strong passion for security and a drive to support their clients effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Execute Professional Services engagements efficiently and professionally for clients, ensuring customer satisfaction is prioritised.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements, including project scope, technical needs, and solution design.
• Represent professionally when onsite with clients, maintaining a high standard of conduct.
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of cybersecurity solutions in client environments.
• Independently manage assigned tasks and projects, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, providing technical mentoring and training as needed.

Requirements:

• A current NV-2 government security clearance is required.
• 8-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a Network Security environment.
• Strong experience in LAN/WAN/Internet support or administration (5+ years).
• 3+ years of experience with Network Security products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Administrator-level knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or Linux.
• Previous experience in technical support or sales engineering is advantageous.
• Network security certifications, with Fortinet NSE4 minimum level and above.
• Certifications from other Network Security vendors such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, AWS are a plus.
• Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications.
• Experience with scripting languages and APIs.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
• Strong teamwork and remote collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, CE, or equivalent experience.
• Additional certifications in Network Security and project management are desirable.
