Our client is a leading Department specialising in security solutions. They are seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Network Security Engineer to join their team and contribute to the protection of critical infrastructure.

As an ICT Network Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and operating network services and systems. Your responsibilities include:

1. Test and maintain network infrastructure, including software and hardware devices.
2. Provide valuable feedback on network requirements, including network architecture and infrastructure.

What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts (MPLS, VRFs, VPNs), protocols (BGP, OSPF, ARP, DNS, DHCP), and security solutions (firewalls, WAFs, segmentation, IDS).
2. Experience in the implementation (systems engineering) and maintenance (system administration) of security infrastructure and solutions.
3. Proven experience in providing cyber security assurance and reporting activities.
4. Skills in conducting Network Security risk assessments, evaluating an organization's Network Security posture by identifying vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential threats.
5. Experience in performing architecture reviews to identify security gaps and propose actionable recommendations.
6. High attention to detail, excellent communication skills with stakeholders and clients, and proficiency in technical writing.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

1. Familiarity with both public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and private cloud environments (VMware, Nutanix).
2. Tactical, operational, and strategic level cyber threat intelligence skills.
3. Understanding of current challenges and opportunities in uplifting the cyber maturity of OT and ICS environments.
