Location: Melbourne

About the role
You will be part of a close-knit team of specialists. Your responsibilities include:

• Install, test, and commission fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure. This includes the setup of cable containment such as cable baskets/trays, ducting, and fibre ducts.
• Deploy enterprise IT and computer equipment, including but not limited to server cabinets & and racks, servers, networking equipment, routers, switches, and cable management.
• Organise and install patch cabling for switches, servers, storage arrays, and other ICT equipment. Also responsible for decommissioning ICT equipment, provisioning, and cross-connects.
• Liaise with clients, mentor, and train apprentices.

Who are we looking for?
Data Centre Technicians who have passion for understanding of and working in mission-critical infrastructure environments.

• Working experience in a Data Centre or mission-critical environment.
• ACMA Open Cable Registration (Optic fibre and structured cabling endorsements).
• Electrical A-grade qualifications, security clearance NV1 and/or Vendor endorsements are advantageous.
• Construction white card.
• Attention to detail.
• Customer service and problem-solving approach.
• Prioritise safety and meticulous attention to detail to uphold high-quality workmanship.
