About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, database management, and data modelling, along with expertise in big data technologies and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, process, and store data from various sources.
- Develop and implement data models, schemas, and structures to support analytical and operational needs.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes.
- Create reports and other outputs for use by internal stakeholders and client-facing applications.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in Data Engineering and analytics.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the broader team.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and data modelling concepts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data analytics technologies (Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in creating interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
