About The Role 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, database management, and data modelling, along with expertise in big data technologies and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, process, and store data from various sources.
• Develop and implement data models, schemas, and structures to support analytical and operational needs.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes.
• Create reports and other outputs for use by internal stakeholders and client-facing applications.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in Data Engineering and analytics.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the broader team.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and data modelling concepts.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data analytics technologies (Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in creating interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
