One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Data Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. You will support projects by developing ETL processes for real time data transfer, batch transfer and data migration, development of data integration model/patterns. The Successful Data Engineerwill be offered an initial 6 month contract with a 1 year extension and receive a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Data Engineer will be responsible for the below:
- Undertake Data Engineering work to support ETL of data from various source to target processes.
- Document ETL design and patterns to support team understanding of data transfers.
- Work with modern Azure technologies for ETL and legacy SSIS and SSRS products/processes.
- Work as a part of an application delivery team, alongside solution architects, business analysts, developers, and testers to deliver on project-based objectives to drive delivery of outcomes
The successful Data Engineer will have experience in the following:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Data engineer working with modern Azure technologies (such as ADF, data lake, data bricks and Sql) for ETL Process creation and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience working with SSIS and SSRS, including integrating on-premise data tools with modern Azure platforms
- Experience working with large and disparate data sets for ETL
- Experience working with and interpreting data models for ETL design
