My client is seeking a talented Data Engineer with experience in integration and ingestion to join their team in Melbourne on a six month contract (view for extension). As a pivotal member, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver insightful reporting solutions that drive informed business decisions.
About You:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with adept time and resource management abilities.
- Proficiency in comprehensive documentation, coding, testing, and deployment across diverse platforms and development languages.
- Over 8 years of hands-on experience in commercial software development or data analytics, complemented by a degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive expertise (8+ years) in utilizing one or more Relational and NoSQL database platforms.
- Hands-on experience (4+ years) developing robust data solutions within the AWS ecosystem (e.g., Glue, EMR, S3, Redshift).
- Demonstrated track record (4+ years) in successfully delivering and maintaining large-scale Big Data implementations.
- Proficiency (2+ years) in Python, PySpark, and Airflow Orchestration.
- Familiarity with configuring CI/CD tools and implementing best practices in Data Engineering.
- Experience integrating SaaS applications with Data Lakes to enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Strong capability in performance analysis and optimizing data ETL processes for efficiency and reliability.
- Advanced skills in designing distributed systems and architecture patterns, focusing on integration and proactive failure mitigation.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach team members, fostering their technical growth and development.
