Our client, a leading government-owned water utilities provider, is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer with expertise in metadata-driven frameworks and proficiency in utilising a range of tools and methodologies, particularly within the Microsoft Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience Creating Meta Data Driven Frameworks: Utilise your expertise to develop metadata-driven frameworks for data acquisition and business logic, ensuring efficient and scalable data solutions;
- Proficiency with Key Tools: Leverage your familiarity with tools such as Databricks, Purview, Data Factory, Cludein and Unity Catalogue to design and implement robust data solutions;
- Python Programming: Apply your Python programming skills to develop and enhance data pipelines and automation processes;
- Data Vault and Kimball Methodologies: Utilise your experience with data vault and Kimball data modelling methodologies to design and optimise data warehouse solutions; and
- Microsoft Azure Certification: Demonstrate your proficiency in Microsoft Azure by obtaining relevant certifications and leveraging Azure services for Data Engineering tasks.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in creating metadata-driven frameworks for data acquisition and business logic;
- Ideally experienced with tools such as Databricks, Purview, Data Factory, Cludein and Unity Catalogue;
- Proficiency in Python programming;
- Experience with data vault and Kimball data modelling methodologies;
- Microsoft Azure certification (desirable);
- Business Intelligence experience;
- Demonstrated experience working with Azure technologies;
- Experience in Agile methodologies and delivering business value incrementally;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; and
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
