Data Integration Business Analyst

Randstad Data is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong Data Integration experience to join a fantastic team, with a strong pipeline of projects over the coming years. This role is an initial 6 month contract, based in Brisbane's CBD with 3 days working in the office minimum.

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong integration experience (i.e., API, SFTP) working on enterprise integration platforms. They will bring their strong technical knowledge to define existing interfaces and Data Integration needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Business Analysis services to the program, including elicitation and management of requirements, interface needs to support delivery.
• Ensuring BA deliverables align to the standards and expectations set by the BA Capability team.
• Proactively assist other team members where required to ensure business-as-usual tasks are completed on-time
• Requirements owner for agreed requirement sets, representing the requirement intent and ensuring Vendor deliverables trace and align to business requirements.
• Completing ad-hoc analysis and providing recommendations as requested, or any other activities requested by the program.
• Proactively identify dependencies, risks, and issues for the project/program of work, suggest controls and mitigations where required.
• Undertake system functional/integration testing where applicable when implementing any product enhancements or defects arise.

Necessary Skills:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst on projects with significant focus on Integration (i.e., identifying, defining, migrating, and decommissioning interfaces and/or integration platforms).
• Experienced in business analysis, including elicitation for functional and non-functional requirements, requirements management and traceability.
• Demonstrable ability to think critically about business problems, offer solution options, and bring their broad analytical experience (including as-is, to-be and gap analysis).
• Strong technical knowledge of Integration Platforms, including API design / management, secure managed file transfers, enterprise services buses, extract transform and load (ETL) capabilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of message-based application interfaces, JSON message / file formats, message processing, fundamentals of database design.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience from working on successful data migration projects.
