It is an operational role focused on support, administration and configuration of tech stack components utilised by data subject matter experts to deliver marketing and 1st party audience building capabilities to the business every day. You will have opportunity to find and deliver operational efficiencies, improve system outage notification streams and help write the glue that underpins data movements between data platform systems. First and foremost, this role will be focused on the delivery and quality monitoring of Seven's AdSales data into the warehouse for performance reporting.Key responsibilities will include:
- Establish processes/systems to monitor data quality for accurate, available production data crucial for stakeholders and business processes.
- Manage and optimize data workflows, collaborating to implement efficient pipelines and ensure quality.
- Aata integration, governance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance, with a focus on automating processes and optimizing data delivery.
- Play a key role in addressing data delivery issues, triaging, and implementing solutions to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Work with BI specialists to implement Tableau Server job schedules and scripting for daily business reporting.
- Collaborate with Database SMEs to triage SQL-based data delivery between systems.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering SMEs to triage data flows from various sources, ensuring quality in processing pipelines.
- Support DevOps teams in integrating big data into and out of cloud-based Cloudera Hadoop and Teradata DB deployments.
- Assist the Head of Data enablement with license renewal planning, load/growth forecasting, and system accessibility management for data enablement teams and stakeholders.
- Assist with system migration planning and load testing as required.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to improve data models for business intelligence tools, enhancing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve production data issues.
- Serve as a cross-enterprise point of contact and facilitate knowledge sharing between data and DevOps groups.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer/ data engineering or other technical discipline (preferred)
- Proven experience in Data Operations, ETL Developer or similar role
- Knowledge of developing and designing applications that leverages cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, GCP etc (preferably AWS)
- Cloud engineering experience with knowledge of deploys, debugs, and executes initiatives related to cloud computing. Experience with designing, developing and maintaining cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies.
- Proficiency or knowledge in programming languages (i.e. Python, Java, BASH, or VBA etc.)
- Working knowledge of modern data system concepts (SOAP, RESTful HTTP APIs, JSON, Apache parquet)
- Strong SQL skills with experience in ETL/ELT
- Experience with Tableau
- Familiarity with the modern enterprise toolbox - Atlassian, Teams, Slack, Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- The ability to interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
