About The Role:
Reporting to the Head Technology Strategy Architecture Risk and Compliance, the Data Scientist and Analyst maintains the ongoing development of the data-lake platform and analytic infrastructure. Bringing your Python and data modelling expertise you will also use your understanding of machine learning to prepare data for the AI, while applying BI principles to organise the data for the dashboards. Drawing on your understanding of metadata and data tagging, you will oversee the journey of the data in the system and consider security implications while keeping abreast of technology advances that will assist the organisation in harnessing the full data lake platform. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a role where every day is different and who has the professional drive to meet the expectations of organisational stakeholders. We are excited about you because you have:

• A relevant degree, and postgraduate qualifications in Data Science or extensive experience in statistics and/or mathematics with strong knowledge of statistical/data mining methods
• Capability with Big Data analytics and Data-Lake design
• SSAS, Power-BI, SQL and NoSQL
• Understanding of the meta data within data
• Python, BI platform and data modelling experience
