About the role:
As a Data Scientist, you will play an instrumental role in the Data Science team, delivering quantifiable business value through the hands-on design, development and deployment of data science assets. The Data Science function has executive level sponsorship, which directs the focus and deployment of the team on business critical projects across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on many varied projects including Customer, Marketing, Fraud, HR and Supply Chain. You will have the opportunity to progress your career through the development of technical, delivery and managerial/coaching skills.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Develop ML solutions to a range of business problems
- Develop, engineer and maintain features within our data science eco-system
- Deployment and optimization of ML algorithms
- Monitoring of features and data for any issues
- Maintain documentation on DAGs, ML code and data assets
- Maintain CI/CD processes and pipelines
ABOUT YOU
You will have a Degree qualified in a relevant field either Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related work experience.
A proven track record in collaborating & implementing data and optimization projects. Experience and expertise in developing data science projects in Python and/or PySpark and production deployment across an organisation.
You will also bring to the role:
- Extensive experience working in a Data Science development function and/or operations
- Experience in working with big data, data science and predictive modelling
- Experience building, deploying and managing pipelines and models in an Cloud environment
- Extensive experience in ML Ops, Python, SQL
- Experience working on an agile project and delivering to timelines
- Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- A team player, willing to coach and assist your peers and across the business
