Our client is rapidly growing their Data Science practice and is looking to hire multiple Data Scientists on a 12-month initial contract basis. This opportunity is with an organisation dedicated to using data analytics to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness, making tangible differences in the insurance/health domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise R, Python, and SAS to analyze complex data sets, creating predictive models that inform policy and operational decisions.
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models (GLMs, GBMs) to extract insights and support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure analytical solutions align with organizational goals and user needs.
About You:
- Proficiency in R, Python, and SAS, with a strong foundation in statistical modeling techniques such as GLMs and GBMs.
- Prior experience in an actuarial role or educational background is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders at various levels.
- A proactive and inquisitive nature, with a passion for leveraging data to drive improvement and innovation.
