The role:
Daimler Truck Financial Services has an exciting 12 month contract opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Data Warehouse and Reporting Analyst. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within the Information Technology (IT) team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Data Warehouse technology stack and supporting the business' reporting requirements through the design, development and implementation cycle.
Reporting into the Chief Information Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate the gathering and documentation of reporting requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and
- Design, develop, test and implement reports
- Work with the wider team to transition developed reports into production
- Provide support and maintenance on all reports, as well as resolve reporting related issues
- Maintain updated user and technical documentation.
- Comply with information security policies and ensure data integrity and security.
- Provide training and knowledge to other teams and individual users.
- Work and assist the business with PowerBi and demonstrate how to utilise PowerBi reports both standalone and integrated into other Office365 tools.
- Maintain Data Warehouse, ensure all changes made to the Data Warehouse are documented and continually assess the software version of the Data Warehouse.
- Challenge stakeholders to adopt new ways of consuming reports and dashboards.

The successful candidate will possess a passion for data and a genuine interest in rendering this into reporting relevant to our commercial vehicle finance business. Your attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and an undisputable ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships to design, develop and deliver solutions will ensure a collaborative approach to success in this role.
With your strong analytical and technical skills, you will have the ability to work through multiple complex projects in order to drive the current transition of the Data Warehouse through its current early stages of development. Working closely with teams across the business, you will be comfortable influencing and negotiating mutually suitable outcomes to drive business growth and quickly gain stakeholder support.
Technically savvy, you will have experience working on a BI/DW solution with strong relational and dimensional Data Modelling skills. It is essential that you are proficient in Microsoft Business Intelligence suite; SQL, SSIS, SSAS SSRS, Azure PowerBi and possess code, report and dashboard development experience using Transact SQL, DAX, PowerBI, SSIS, and SSRS. Furthermore, we would expect the successful applicant is experienced in ETL processes & Azure Data Factory, is familiar with Agile project methodology and can additionally refine the delivery and integrity of data, by ensuring continuous improvement strategies are developed.
A qualification or commercial practice in Data Science or IT would be advantageous, or professional experience in Data Warehousing and Reporting, along with an understanding of the Finance, Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Automotive market. Azure Data Warehouse knowledge is also highly desired.
