Join the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (DWBI) Team at Mercy Health as we implement a modern, cloud-based analytics platform and transition to a best-practice delivery model, to support our Health and Healthy Ageing services during this exciting period of transformation and growth.
This position requires collaborating with users at all levels of the business to understand their reporting and analysis needs; translating those needs into data models; and creating visualisations to realise business value and support decision making.
Reporting to the Director of Improvement and Data Analytics, this role supports the DWBI team in the business analysis, design and delivery of fit-for-purpose data products where user experience is key; as well as driving the migration to, and adoption of, the new platform on Microsoft Fabric and an agile, collaborative delivery model.
ABOUT YOU:
We’re looking for an adaptable data champion who thrives on collaboration and can bounce between business communication and technical development with ease.
Key requirements include:
- Demonstrated business analysis and dimensional (Kimball) data modelling skills, working within a structured framework.
- A detailed technical knowledge of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence design patterns and technologies.
- An enthusiasm for promoting process change and continuous improvement
- Expert knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Power BI
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field with at least 5 years of industry experience.
Additional favourable experience:
- Experience working within an Agile project methodology
- Experience working with and configuring CI/CD workflows
- ETL/ELT or data engineering skills
- Hands-on Microsoft Synapse or Fabric experience
