Position Overview: We are currently partnering with a prestigious healthcare organisation in Melbourne to fill the role of Data Warehouse Developer. In this role, you will play a key role in the design, maintenance, and testing of Data Warehouse solutions within the organisation's Business Intelligence Unit.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop Data Warehouse solutions to meet those needs.
• Enhance and maintain the Clinical Enterprise Data Warehouse to address reporting requirements from various clinical areas.
• Implement improvements to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the Data Warehouse.
• Oversee data quality and address any issues impacting hospital operations.
• Monitor and maintain Data Warehouse environments, resolving processing issues as they arise.
• Assist in migrating on-premise solutions to the Azure environment.
• Ensure adherence to documentation processes and maintain quality control of all developed artefacts for the Clinical Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Collaboration:

• Develop strong relationships with directors, managers, clinical staff, and administrative staff across the organisation.
• Provide input to data and reporting groups/forums and actively participate in meetings, working groups, and improvement programs.
• Liaise with the IT department to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organisational goals.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing among the data team and broader clinical analysts group.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of enterprise data warehousing principles and Kimball Dimensional Modelling.
• Experience in building data models to address reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in ingesting data from hospital systems into staging and persistent staging layers.
• Familiarity with BI Reporting Tools such as Power BI and self-service readiness.
• Ability to design, build, and document enterprise data models to ensure a single version of truth across multiple clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Demonstrated ability to evolve Data Warehouses in alignment with best practices and changing reporting environments.
