Database Developer

An opportunity has arisen for a Database Developer to join the team and play a key role in the development of a suite of internal systems whilst being given the opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders across the business. 

Reporting to the General Manager, this role requires:

• Experience and knowledge working in an organisation with mission critical systems.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL language and a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server RDM.
• Proficiency in data reporting tools, such as PowerBI and SSRS.
• Swift response to system incidents, collaborating on complex issues for efficient problem-solving.
• Administration and optimisation of relational databases, ensuring data availability and integrity.
• Creation and optimisation of SQL queries, develop stored procedures, and validate data.
• Collaborative approach to data integration, implement ETL processes, and troubleshoot pipelines. Knowledge of SSIS a bonus.
• Ability to lead reporting and analysis, develop dynamic dashboards, and support data driven decisions.
• T-SQL expertise and a familiarity with C# and HTML will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
• Familiarity with best practices for performance tuning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of database systems in a cloud infrastructure environment, Azure preferable.
• Understanding of software development practices including Agile Methodology.
• Working knowledge of software development tools like Visual Studio, Git source control, Azure DevOps.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• C# knowledge a bonus.
