About the role
As the Operations Manager for our DC at Lytton, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end operations of our Lytton site. You will work directly with your team managers to drive exceptional outcomes across the DC whilst maintaining a high focus on the safety of our team.
Reporting to the State DC Manager, you will work collaboratively to support and drive our vision, with a focus on continuous improvement across, safety, productivity, cost reduction and service improvement.
What's involved:
- Manage the daily Operations of all areas at the distribution centre
- Implement, drive and optimise DC processes and procedures, whilst monitoring and ensuring performance across safety, DIFOT measures and inventory accuracy
- Drive Bunnings safety initiatives as well as ensuring safety protocols are adhered to by the team
- Provide strong leadership, coaching and guidance to your team, being a key driver in leading the culture of the site, with a focus on inclusivity, team wellbeing and development.
- Build and maintain relationships with service providers and partners to achieve positive business outcomes and ensure compliance
Who we're looking for
You will bring well-developed experience across warehousing, distribution and logistics management including prior experience in managing the operations of a large-scale, high-volume warehouse. Your great communication skills will enable you to build trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will be solutions focused and an innovative thinker, with the ability to proactively solve problems and make decisions within a fast-paced environment.
You'll need:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar level leadership role as a DC Manager
- A strong focus on driving safety culture
- Great organisation skills and the ability to prioritise business needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and manage change effectively
- Commercial acumen and solid understanding of operational costs, budgets and contracts
- Sound understanding of KPI metrics across distribution and ability to deliver strong results
- Analytical skills with the ability to understand data and reporting
- Strong skills and experience using a WMS, experience with Oracle is highly desired
- Tertiary qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain would be advantageous
