Form of work Our clients are on the lookout for people that love working outdoors! This Assistant Grounds Maintenance role will be a short term 6 week contract with potential to extend 26/12/2023Duties include but not limited to:Maintaining the cleanliness, safety and presentation of playgrounds and park infrastructure including sand pits, bubblers, bollards and park furniture.Preparation and application of herbicide and pesticide.Raking, sweeping, whipper snipper operation, leaf blowing, weeding and other activities associated with parks and open space presentation.Irrigation system maintenance and minor repair.Amenity pruning of trees, hedges, shrubs and other foliage.Removal of vegetation, litter and other rubbish from site and ensure safe disposal.Scheduled mulching, top dressing and other preventative and proactive maintenance activities.Ensure all grounds and maintenance tasks are undertaken in accordance with daily / weekly schedules assigned.Report all maintenance issues to Leading Hand or Team Leader as soon as practicable.ESSENTIALWhite CardOpen Class C Drivers LicenceSuccessful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical testDESIRABLE but not essentialMinimum 1 year experience in grounds / maintenance experienceMedium Rigid (MR) LicenceHours of work: Monday - Friday 8.00am to 4.15 pm (45 mins unpaid lunch break)Start Date: ASAPEnd date: 6 weeks after induction - 24/11/2023 with potential to extend to 26/12/2023Please apply now and add your CV. *only shortlisted applicants will be contacted*Larrakia are encouraged to apply.
