About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to join our Hobart Class DDG Combat System Upgrade project based in either Adelaide or Melbourne.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as hybrid working.
The guided missile destroyers are planned to undergo significant upgrades to their combat management system and capabilities, ensuring an enhanced, efficient and reliable defence in both air and sea domains.
As part of this program you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of ILS Management plans and processes. This includes the preparation and update to technical documents related to operation and maintenance of the DDG Combat System and Support System and working with the Engineering Team in the delivery of Engineering Changes.
Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with design and development teams to integrate ILS considerations into the system architecture and specifications
• Support development of identified ILS Plans
• Ensure the availability of necessary resources, spares, and documentation throughout the system's life cycle
• Develop and execute strategies to manage the obsolescence of system components and technologies
• Conduct and deliver on Operator and Maintenance Task Analysis and create documentation of corrective and preventive maintenance tasks
• Assist development of Logistics Information and Maintenance Management Systems (MMS)
• Develop and deliver on technical spares assessment including assessing, identification, support system optimisation and special spares assessing tasks
• Provide an advanced level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Program

About YOU

• Degree, Diploma or Trade Qualification in a relevant discipline and/or substantial relevant experience
• Specialist technical expertise in the application of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) tasks, sparing, maintenance support, training and documentation to engineering projects
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine and optimize engineering processes for increased efficiency
• Proven skills and experience in technical document writing in defence standards
• Experience with supportability analysis, MRD, and Repairable Item Management
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
• Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
