The Opportunity
MMA has an exciting opportunity for a new Cadet to join our team. We are seeking a Deck Cadet who is motivated to build a successful career in the maritime industry.
  
We are committed to the development of our people through performance feedback, internal development opportunities and training programs. We have a strong emphasis on setting clear expectations and achieving key performance objectives through the implementation and monitoring of robust Performance Coaching Agreements.
  
We strive to continually develop our people through structured training outcomes, aligned with our strategic view to entrench MMA as an employer of choice for our people and service provider of choice for our customers.
  
Our program will see the successful candidates obtaining formal qualifications and gain valuable sea time through on the job experience on our high-specification vessels throughout the cadetship. The successful candidates will be employed directly by MMA for the duration of their Cadetship, for up to 4 years.

Minimum Requirements

  • Available to commence study in July, 2024.
  • Able to qualify for the minimum entry requirements for the relevant course of study
  • Able to meet the requirements to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Meet the requirements to satisfy an AMSA Medical Certificate or equivalent.
  • Hold a valid Passport with a minimum of 6 months’ currency.
  • Able to apply for and meet National Police Certificate requirements.
  • Full Australian Work Rights.
