Job Description:
Do you have experience in defence Contract Management and looking for your next position? Taw-Con is seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Defence Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice and strategic solutions to enhance our clients' capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Defence and Contract Management, with a proven track record of delivering results.
Qualifications & experience
- Knowledge and experience in ASDEFCON contract suite and documentation
- Experience in considering and applying Defence or Government commercial policies (ie Defence Procurement Manual)
- Experience in record-keeping and maintaining documentation that meets audit requirements
- Experience in reviewing documentation and attention to detail, particularly in standard Defence writing document styles
- Basic spreadsheet competencies (ie pivot tables, formatting and competency in writing cell formulae)
- Degree qualification with commercial focus (ie Commerce, business, Law)
- Prior experience in Contract Management in the Defence environment
- Prior experience in the use of Defence procurement and commercial systems (eg MyFi)
- Prior experience in Defence AIC procurement policies
- Financial experience such as developing budgets, advising on financial issues, aiding the assessment of value for money, or TCO modelling
- Experience in risk management, particularly as it relates to Contract Management and other commercial activities
Tasks & responsibilities
- Review of documentation and deliverables.
- Participation in internal and contractor meetings.
- Maintenance of Contract Management registers and associated record-keeping requirements.
- Provision of commercial and Contract Management advice to project stakeholders, including the effective engagement of specialist commercial and legal advisors.
- Processing and supporting the input of procurement and financial data in defence-mandated systems.
- Supporting the delivery and review of AIC deliverables and activities.
- Development and review of agendas, meetings, and action items taken between meetings managed by the project commercial team.
- Reporting of Contract Management status, issues and other items as requested by the Commercial Manager, AIC Manager, Deputy Project Director or Project Director.
