Our Group Training Organisation (GTO) is currently seeking a Training Manager specifically working with Defence Team to manage our Defence Industries programs in WA and potentially SA. This role will suit an individual who is a well organised people-person, self-starter who is passionate about providing quality training and mentoring of trainees. As a Training Manager, your role will include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders, Host companies, training providers and TAFE training services.
- Business Development – working to bring on new hosts and clients in the Defence Industries
- Monitoring and supporting the Defence Training Coordinators
- Marketing and promotion of the work we do in the Defence Industry
- Working with Training Providers to ensure programs are meeting client expectations
- Supporting coordinators with apprentice and trainee management and disciplinary counselling
- Ongoing Recruitment and Induction of new apprentices and trainees
- Occupational Health and Safety management of Trainees and Apprentices within the workplace
- Completion of Workplace Risk Assessments
- Reviewing Defence Budgets and managing within the this.
- Compliance to Client Contractual Requirements and achievement of KPI’s
- Growing the Programmed Training Services business in the Defence industry
- Demonstrate an understanding of safety and a commitment to upholding safety standards
- Experience in GTO sector or training industry experience is favorable
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Pro-active approach to finding solutions
- Dynamic team player and contributor
- Ability to build and develop strong relationships with various stakeholders at different levels
- A positive outlook
- Drive and Self-Motivation
- Enthusiasm
- Knowledge of Defence industries is beneficial
