We are actively seeking a skilled Deli Manager based in both our Northern and Southern stores. The role will primarily focus on preparing and presenting freshly made meals daily while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and produce.
The successful candidate will report to the Group Category Deli Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the department's staff to deliver high-quality service to all customers. They will also be accountable for meeting sales targets by training, motivating, and mentoring staff and working collaboratively with all department managers to improve and grow the store. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop a proactive, positive culture in the store in line with Tucker Fresh's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the standard where “every local is loved”
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Prepare fresh food onsite
- Ensure that staff deliver high quality service to all customers
- Understand and respond to customer requests and needs
- Inform customers about specials, promotions and new items
- Work safely in accordance with legislation and all supermarket safety
policies and procedures - Weigh, scan and record prices of products
- Receive and process payments for goods and services
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in a similar role
- Previous management experience
- Food preparation and handling skills
- Knowledge of food safety
- Passion for food and creativity to share ideas
- Commitment to providing excellent customer experiences by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Physical ability to be on your feet for long periods, lift moderate to heavy weights, and reach
